Young people are central to the development of the Hub.

The HYAH Youth Forum steer the direction of the work we do and make key decisions regarding how the project should be led…they came up with the concept for this website & helped Stacey with the formatting of Creative Careers Day 2015.

It’s been amazing being part of the Highland Youth Arts Hub. Meeting new people that share similar interests & are as bonkers as you are. A shared passion is always a great stepping stone when starting an organisation that wants to bring more to their home. And there are certainly a lot of passionate people involved in HYAH. It’s an honour working alongside my peers and the workers have always been there to give us the boost we need

The Forum is currently made up of around 30 young people, aged 12-25, from across the Highlands. The one thing we all have in common is a passion for the arts, whether that be music, dance, film, creative writing, visual art, drama…or all of the above! We aim to meet four time a year; two day long meetings & two residential meetings. Here the Forum portray what they see their role to be and what they believe could make youth arts better in the future…
