Brodie Castle comes to life as part of LIVE! / BEÒ Festival! With storytelling workshops in the morning, right through to performances from Scotland’s best grime artist Ransom FA in the evening, LIVE! /BEÒ promises to bring Brodie Castle to life like never before.
Storytelling Workshops with Barbara Henderson
Join children’s fiction writer Barbara Henderson and take part in a storytelling workshop that will build creative writing skills through fun games and tasks in the extraordinary setting of Brodie Castle’s Library
1:30pm – 4pm
Local young artists pitch their creative ideas to a panel of industry experts for the chance to win £500. Hosted by comedian Zander McNally.
Amy Conway’s Super Awesome World
6pm – 7:10pm
Super Awesome World is a brand new autobiographical theatre show about video games that invites the audience to join Amy Conway as allies in her fight against depression. A performance that explores, through the prism of gaming, what depression is like and what it is like to fight it. The show will ask the audience to become Amy’s fellow adventurers in an interactive experience that asks difficult questions and quests for elusive sparks of joy in the deep dark multi-user dungeons of the soul.

Opening party with Ransom FA

Join us for our Opening party to kick start the festival at Brodie Castle where we will be joined by Ransom FA. Ransom FA is a pioneer in the Northern Rap/Grime scene. He is behind some of the most popular Scottish grime tracks to date! With an extremely addictive, unique sound bringing an original mix between Grime and Rap. Expect a sharp, on point flow over hard hitting, ear catching beats from a Ransom FA live set!
